Hiding Out

I'll be hiding out most of this week because it's midterm. That means lots of grading to do. Dj and I are still battling this virus, whatever it is. We think it's H1N1, but the Dr. I went to last Tuesday would not say it was and kept telling me it was just a viral infection. Brynn has yet to get it and I hope she does not, as she has a very busy week with a Christmas party at school, and lots of dance practices and a recital this weekend. She is very excited to dance on stage.

Since she has turned 3, it has been hysterical and difficult all at the same time. She is fiesty, super opinionated, bossy, rude at times, esp. to her brother and to me, she is taking ages to eat at the dinner table all of a sudden and also messing around more when eating. Brynn loved seeing Santa this year for the first time ever and enjoyed talking to him. She would not sit on his lap, but did stand next to him and smiled in the picture when we went to visit him last weekend. She LOVES all of the Christmas shows/cartoons being aired on TV and the whole idea of Santa not bringing presents to our house is devastating to her. I don't know what I will use when Christmas is over and Santa has already visited...

On another note, I have presents to wrap, presents to buy, presents to make, a dance costume to fix, and packing to do. Will I ever get finished? Argh...
