Brynnisms and Baylenisms

So many funny -isms lately, I cannot write them down fast enough.

Last night at the dinner table, we were talking about something (not sure what it was, exactly)

Brynn's response to our conversation: "Yeah, mom, we got there just in time!"

Me: "Yep, we did."

Baylen (with a light bulb look on his face): "Hey...it's Just-in Beiber time!" and he just laughed and laughed like he had said the best joke in the world.

It was supppper funny! Brynn and I were cracking up along with him. He is too clever for his own good!

***************

Today on the way home, Brynn is singing a Britney Spears song w/ the radio.

All of a sudden...Brynn: "Mom, when I grow up, I want to be a singer!"

Me: "Okay, honey, that sounds great!"

Later the Ne-Yo song comes on and Pitbull starts singing (no one has ever told her this...)

Brynn; "Mom, it's Pitbull on the radio!"

Me: "Um yeah it is!!!"

******************

P.S. these kind of pictures tick me off. They always try and get them to jump and get their photo. They never turn out. Jumping pictures are super cute when you're older like in high school (b/c that is their thing), etc. or maybe if your kids are older and can actually jump high enough so the camera can catch it.

Super Funny

Okay, so I have two Facebook accounts. One is my adult acct. and the other is my teacher acct. The teacher acct. just has posts and reminders about homework and it's super clean. Sometimes I remind kids to bring items they need for class or answer questions or send reminders to my ASB kids. It works pretty well. Sometimes I get invited to events b/c the kids will just invite everyone in their Friend list. This was in my invite box yesterday and I had a little laugh!!! I love the line about not needing any wood b/c there would be so many assignments to burn! LOL Cracks me up!

**Disclaimer: this is not my handwriting...students from my previous school created the invite and TONS of kids were going. Super hilarious. Also, sorry if you don't like foul language...my former students...well...let's just say they use foul language more often than not. I still find it quite funny.

This guy...Baylenisms #10, #11

This photo describes this guy's personality to a "T."

This guy is ridiculously funny. Like he's naturally goofy and LOVES to be Mr. Funny Guy and the Class Clown at school. Great. haha

Baylen is sitting on the stairs and Dj is putting on his shoes.

Me (coming down the stairs): Ewww! What is that smell? It smells like cat poop!

Baylen (laughing): says nothing.

DJ: I think it was Baylen...I don't know, though. He told me it was him.

Me: Did you let one, Bay?

Baylen (laughing): hahaha Yes.

Me: That is nasty! You reek! haha

Bay (laughing): hahaha It was juicy!

Gotta love boys! I have no idea who is teaching him this vocab, but I can only blame daycare at this point!

Brynn and Baylen are fighting...

Baylen: Bwinnah, you are a weinahwr!

Brynn: Baylen, that's not nice! Stop calling me a weiner!

MOMMMMM! Baylen called me a weiner for no reason!

Baylen: But she took my cars car, mom!

Me: Baylen, did you call Brynn a weiner?

Baylen: (nods his head, giggles)

Me: You better apologize. That's not very nice. (Yes I was able to keep a straight face)

Brynn (chiming in as usual): Yeah, Baylen. That's not nice to call people names. You shouldn't use potty talk either! That's not nice!

Baylen: (smiling) Sorry I called you a weinahwr. (then he chuckles)

Happy Father's Day!

To all you dads out there, especially my own father and the father of our babies. Thank you for being wonderful examples for your children.

Results

Well, after yesterday's visit to Children's, I think we both walked away feeling better. I will copy her diagnosis from the doctor later, but the gist is: it has something to do w/ her first ribs more than likely. We are supposed to monitor it and watch it. If Bee experiences any numbness in her arm or hand, or it falls asleep often, or one hand is cold and one hand is warm, then we need to return to Children's. The doctor does not want to do surgery at this time if he doesn't have to. He said she is young and if it had to happen, the older she is, the better. Since the area the lump is located in is sensitive and full of nerve endings and blood vessels, because she is so small, it would more than likely be a complicated surgery. Dr. A. did admit that this was the first time he'd seen something like this.

Regardless, we are relieved to have a more specific idea of what is wrong and what we need to look for and pay attention to.

Dance Dance Dance

We are already at the end of another dance season. It doesn't seem possible, but Miss Bee is dancing tomorrow night in her 6th recital. She has come a long way since the first one. Although the smallest and youngest girl in her dance class, she did SO well this time and has all of the moves down better than some of her classmates. Usually, she is the one struggling a bit as far as coordination. Ballet is a better fit for her to show her grace and finesse. She doesn't have to look at the other girls to remember what to do...She really knows her stuff this time around. I was so proud of her. She was just beaming afterwards. :) Love this girl and her willingness to be good at everything. :)

**video would not post to site so will try again tomorrow. It's also up on Facebook.

Back to Children's we go

We are heading back to Children's to see a General Surgeon tomorrow. We're not sure what we will find out, but we are looking for more specific answers as far as a plan of action or what they want to do about Brynn's lump.

They are so big

A mom at our daycare is trying to open her own photography business and spent some time taking a bunch of pictures to jumpstart her business. She did such a great job. Anyway, the parents loved all of the pics and she was able to capture each of the kids and their personalities. Love these two she took of the kids.

Pretty soon, they will be home w/ me for the summer. Lately, B2 has been spending a lot of time just messing around w/ each other: wrestling, jumping off of things, jumping on beds, hiding under blankets, throwing stuff, and just messing around. It's funny to watch it happen but also grinds on my nerves when I stop them from doing something and then five minutes later, they have moved on to mess around w/ something else.

They are pretty funny and have so much to say about everything and anything. It's so fun to listen to their conversations and intuitions about the world and how they think it works.
