T-minus 7 days...

The pic isn't that great but here's what Mr. Baylen is wearing on his big day next week...hence the camo theme! :)

this is funny

okay so I posted up the broom crew vid. up on YouTube for the teachers b/c some of them were having trouble viewing it on my website. Anyway, somehow a bunch of the kids found out about it and have been leaving comments. They are nothing short of hilarious. I can't even believe how often these kids are on YouTube. I think it's more popular than MySpace these days for them.

Lol, Mrs. Fitz you were on fi-yah. xD

potty news

Brynn did really well at school today when it came to pottying on the toilet. She went EVERY single time today and stayed dry all day! Dj and I were SOOO excited! The director and her teacher want us to bring in big girl underwear and plastic pants tomorrow and see how she does. WE have been putting "big girl" undies on her most nights when we get home and she has done pretty well with them. She runs to the potty whenever she has to go. But pooping is a different story. She still poops...even in her undies. So we're working on that. Despite the probs w/ #2, we are soooo encouraged by her progress!

Party On

After much thought, I have decided to go with the Camouflage themed birthday party for Baylen's birthday. I was having a difficult time deciding between camo and a sports themed party. I think we'll do sports theme next year...I have a few ideas up my sleeve for that one. Why camo? Well, I thought it would be different and cool. Plus, the store that is making our cake said they would and could do camo-looking frosting, so I am hoping it will turn out as cool as we are envisioning it to look.

All I have left to do is order the cake, some camo party hats, and buy some of the food for the party. I also want to put together a few little invites for those who are going to be in attendance, which this year, it's part of my family (mom, dad, little bro Dan) and possibly Dj's dad. I hope to get the invites put together or at least in the computer by tomorrow. I am in disbelief my son will be one in less than 2 weeks. March 13 will be here before we know it.

Easter Outfits

I have the kids's Easter outfits all purchased. I bought parts of them in two different weeks b/c I had coupons for each week and wanted to split up the cost a bit. I LOVE love love the Children's Place stuff they have out right now. IT is just darling and it coordinates so well. I have been waiting to find more outfits that match that I can put on the kids that is different than ISU clothing. Thank you CP for creating fun, matching/coordinating outfits. These outfits the kids will also wear in their next round of profess. pics. I had the wrong dress posted originally and figured out later so the real one is now posted.

Here is what Brynna will be wearing:

Thunderbirds Hockey Game!

ON Saturday night, we met a bunch of Iowa State Alumni for a hockey game. The Seattle Thunderbirds have relocated and the new arena is closer. Baylen only made it through the 2nd period and then we had to leave. He did not want to sit still. :( But, this was Brynna and Baylen's first hockey game. Brynna loved it and did so well sitting still. It was fun to meet some of the alumni and even though we've been invited to several events, this was the first time we could actually go!
