I should have known better...

than to get in an argument (or start one, rather) about politics on Facebook. Yes, that was stupid. I have learned my lesson. Although, I must say, I did not appreciate the fact that he called me a political conformist, misled, misguided, and uninformed...oh and that I couldn't think for myself. Me, not think for myself???? Hmmm.

I did call in some reinforcements to help me out until I could respond, but jeez...he was pretty condescending and I did NOT appreciate that one bit considering we were pretty good friends for a good couple of years in college. Plus, I found him a couple girlfriends here and there...*sigh*

Never, ever never discuss Politics or Religion sweetie, it's a tried and true rule of thumb ;-)

I totally missed it. I would have had your back had I seen it, as I know that we think alike politically. Sorry for whatever went down. :(

I can't help myself either, but I make it a rule to not name call or belittle. It gets hard when they throw the first punch. I once got "unfriended" by a good friend because of a string, I think mostly because of my other friends. I had to call him and talk it out. It also kind of upsets me when blanket comments are made about the stupidity of things I believe in. I just try to tell myself I'm the exception to what they are saying. But once in a while I can't help it and write, "I know you said all these people who think like this are stupid, but surely you don't mean me? You know me, and you don't think I'm stupid/heartless/brainwashed, do you?" Don't let the turkeys get you down, Sarah! And if you want to talk politics, I know we have different viewpoints but I play nice and love to have my mind changed by excellent and well though out aurguments like I know you make!
