My little buddy is 18 months old and is such a ham. He is talking more and more and wants to repeat everything we say, or tries to.
We have officially ended our stint with the pacifier. What a champ he's been about this.
He loves to wrestle, run, climb, jump...anything boy.
He fights with Brynn constantly.
He's a champ going to bed at night, usually ready to lay down by 7:45-8 p.m.
His teacher is starting light potty training with him, and he has gone a couple of times at daycare, but never at home. I think it's going to be awhile before he's truly ready.
He understands so much of what we say and is learning to verbalize more and more. Some of the words he's been saying include: bed, butt, cat, doggie, duck, quack, done, not done, get down, kitty, zo-zo, mammy (for Cammy), Binn (for Brynn), mommy, daddy, pee-pees, poop, poo poo, please, thanks, up, more, milk, eat, yes, bubbles, bath, abby, jump, teeth, foot, shoe, baby, beep, spoon, cheese, belly, me, sauce, no, mine, mary, Boot (which means Book), soup, this, that, MoMo (for Elmo), baooon (for balloon), MiMi, ...and I am sure there are more but that's all I can think of right now.
Bay also roars like a dinosaur, lion, and tiger. He has a great roar.
He is so funny and likes to make facial expressions especially when a camera is involved.
He is such a lovey boy and gives the best kisses and hugs. He's a big teddy bear.
When he becomes excited, he pants like a dog.
He has been doing really well using his utensils at dinner time, and actually, has used them well for the past several months...very early learner w/ the spoon and fork.
When he wakes up in the morning, his hair looks like Kramer's from Seinfeld.
He picks at his sister constantly which really irritates her.
He screams and screeches when he fights with Brynn over a toy.
A couple weeks ago, he came into our bed around 5 a.m. to sleep and around 7:30, he sat up, starting tapping me with his hand and said, "Mommy, EAT!" It was so cute! He was hungry for b-fast and strung two words together.
He's a good listener and can follow many simple directions. But sometimes he's a terrible listener when he doesn't want to do something or doesn't want to stop doing something.
He can count 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. He will line toys up and start counting them but often times starts with the number 2.
He can point out all of his body parts and whenever he touches his eye, he pokes himself and then says "OUCH eyes!"
He loves to clean. His favorite chores he enjoys helping with include sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and picking up.
When Baylen is finished eating, one must clean up his plate, bib, and placemat immediately after he says he's done.
Still no "eye' teeth yet, but man, are they causing all sorts of irritability for the Mister.
He wants to do whatever Brynn is doing.
His favorite toys are his John Deere tractor, the Red Truck G'ma Cindy and Papa Kevin sent him for Easter, Brynn's tea set, balloons, legos, the popper, and the shopping cart.
He's recently learned how to knock on a door. It's absolutely hilarious.
He loves telling you how old he is by holding up one finger.
He loves cookies, all fruits, spaghetti, noodles, Mac 'n Cheese, pizza, chicken nuggets, maidrites, cupcakes, milk, tacos, and pancakes. Some days he'll eat like a champ, while other days, he won't eat much of anything.
He loves to take off his shoes while we're driving home in the car after I pick the kids up from daycare.
He loves to read "boots" as he calls them, and his favorite reads currently are: The Going to Bed Book, Puff the Magic Dragon, What's Wrong, Little Pookie? and we always end before bed with: How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?
He becomes very cranky when he's hungry. I mean really cranky.
When his teacher put every child's handprints from his class on a big poster, Baylen's hands are the biggest BY FAR.
Tonight before I put him into bed, I always kiss him and say "I Love you, Mister Baylen." And tonight he said back: "Luv Ouuu!" Aww melts my heart to pieces! :) ♥
He's currently in a size 18 months and wears a size 7.5 shoe. He weighs 27 1/2 pounds and is 32 inches tall.
