Seriously...

I thought our luck was changing when I won $110 on penny slots the other night at the casino until...

1. cammy had to have 12 teeth pulled.

2. our heater coils were leaking...had to be replaced. That costed us mucho dinero.

3. we are in a flood zone area and the green river could flood us out.

4. we don't have flood insurance yet. (still working on that)

5. flood insurance takes a month to kick in.

6. my car had to get two new front tires.

7. and new windshield wipers.

8. an an oil change.

9. we had to buy a new toilet for our "new" bathroom (that was not in original plan) b/c it had a crack in it.

But, here are some exciting things happening in our household as well:

1. the floor was laid yesterday in our bathroom. it looks great.

2. the new toilet has been installed.

3. it's halloween and the kids are really excited to go trick-or-treating

4. brynn has a costume birthday party to attend on sat. afternoon and she is super stoked about it

5. my volleyball season just ended tonight and we tied for 2nd in the district. :)

6. christmas shopping begins SOON. :)

I thought for sure your post was leading to a #7 of you being pregnant or something. That's just the vibe I was getting from it!

Quinn has a costume party on Saturday too and he's so excited. Logan on the other hand is angry that he can't go.

Poor Fitz. I totally feel you on the flood stuff as I deal with it daily here at my job (since I work for a city). Flood insurance is NOT cheap! Hopefully your realtor let you know before you moved in!

Things will continue to look up! (and you're gonna have one kick butt bathroom!)

Fitz, I'm sorry about all the stupid crap that's happening. If you have flood insurance questions, feel free to shoot me an email. We don't write in your state, but I can answer some general questions since pricing is federally regulated.
I'm excited to start Christmas shopping too! And to see finished pictures of the bathroom.

This flooding stuff wasn't really an issue when we bought down here. There was a dam built in the 60's that was supposed to keep this all in check, but last January after we got 20 inches of Rain in 5 days the reservoir was at one of it's highest levels ever and when the water level receded they noticed a lot higher rate of seepage through the abutment that the dam is connected to. Because of that they won't let the reservoir fill up to it's capacity and them sending more water down through the valley can overwhelm the levee system that is in place all along the river which could cause some major flooding... just one of those things we don't have any control over that wasn't a issue at all four years ago....
